The Saratoga Regional YMCA and Saratoga Hospital held a joint groundbreaking today at the Saratoga Medical Park at Malta, located at Exit 12 of the Northway.

The building, a collaboration between the YMCA and the hospital, will be the new home for the Y’s Malta branch, as well as medical specialty offices for Saratoga Hospital.

This Y will be the first of its kind in the area and will incorporate traditional Y health and wellness activities and programs. The new Malta branch will debut a new model for the SRYMCA, designed specifically for innovation and inclusion.

The facility will allow the Y to expand its fitness and childcare programs and almost double their outreach. It will also open up opportunities for both organizations to support one another.

The YMCA anticipates its facilities to be open the in spring of 2018.
